This year the Haberstock’s are planning to march in proclamation of the sanctity of Life, and we invite you to prayerfully consider joining us. The March this year is on Thursday May 9th, in the early afternoon. With the blessing and encouragement of our Reginal Pastor, Rev. Robert Mohns, and Lutherans For Life Canada (LFLC), I am writing a letter which will be forwarded to each AB Circuit Counselor to go out to each of our AB LCC congregations inviting them to also join us. Stand up, Stand up for Jesus is not just a hymn but our blessed calling in life as His kids!

ESS ANYONE?
What is ESS you ask? Good question! ESS stands for Emergency Social Services. It is something that a few of us have been involved in for the past yearish. At the time of the wildfire there were about 7 ESS members here in Fort Mac and area. Now over 300! ESS is a growing group of volunteers who have been awakened to the need to be ready for emergencies and to help out when they occur. Fire/flooding/ accidents etc. that would call for persons in our city and area to be evacuated to a shelter is where ESS jumps in for up to 72 hours (in shifts) to reg/house/care for/and assist person who are in need. Uncle Sam Needs You is the US slogan. Ours is (just made this up) Cathy Steeves Needs YOU! She is our fearless and very entertaining leader! Please talk to me (Pastor) if you would like to join Sam and I in this op to assist in our great community!

Our January Jumbo Tron message came down yesterday. It read: Need Stability? “I the LORD do not change!” Daily that truth is for us so that we are not being tossed back and forth by every wind of crazy teaching out in the world. When you talk to people and they are down or confused or hurting … please direct them to the only One who does not change. His cross shaped love is for all! Please direct them to our website for more materials to be introduced to their Saviour or to grow in him. And please pray daily for those that see the screen downtown and those who come to our website. We thank the Lutheran Laymen’s League-Canada for their generous assistance to help us reach out with Jesus to driving Fort McMurrians.
